I believe another answer described an exercise known as the Captain's Chair. It's the best way to tone abs. Also, as others indicated, you'll have to be stricter with your diet. Avoid too many sugars and fats. If you do both those things, you then have to throw in some cardio as well.
Traditional situps and crunches will help, but most studies show the Captain's Chair is the most effective exercise if you're going for the serious "six pack" look.

Climb an imaginary ladder exaggerating your movements, leg lifts with the small of your back supported, basic crunches. Start low and work your way up repetition wise. Do these every other day for a fast effective way to meet your goal.

six pack abs are tough to come by. you have to eat healthy which means having 5 course meals a day. protein shakes which suck, and doing a **** load of sit-ups. what worked best for me is if you have a pull up bar. put your legs oer it, turn upside down then do sit-ups. very hard excersize but works best try to max out and every other day try and do 1 more than you did the last time

My best advice is to start going to the gym but doing crunchers will help tone up the ab muscles.

At my gym, there is a standing piece of equipment with two steps on either side of it. You stand on the steps and you lift your legs up, while holding on to either sides of the bar. You life your legs either in front of you or twist them with your knees bent from side to side. You will have plenty of pain but a rockin stomach!!!!
