Can hit a winner from anywhere, big girl , and better watch her fitness or she will tumble fast. Needs to get a real coach besides her father if he really wants to get to another level. How could a number one player in the world let her serve get that bad, answer have your dad coach you. Same thing with the Williams sisters. is there any question that they should have done more and better then they did . No coaching.
Very good she fired a ball a Serena's face, in the last game. showed a competitive fire and sent a message you may have kicked my tail today , but I am not afraid of you and I will kick your a** again next time. She is a competitor for sure.
No one could have beaten Serena this tournament .
Obviously she is hot which is a plus and good for the sport. Let her make all the money she can while she can I have no problem with her endorsing everything it is smart.
I just can not get over that fact that her serve has gotten that bad. She needs to fix that fast or it will become a weakness that the top ten ladies can exploit.

Well, I really dislike her grunts and shrieks, but still she has a got a very good personality. It was very bold of her to hold back her tears, come up on stage, praise Serena and speak a few other words, even after being mauled in the match. She had also praised Kim Clijsters after beating her in the OZ Open semi-finals. As per her tennis skills, there should be no doubt that she is a tremendous player. She has been the most consistent of all players at present, making at least the semi-finals of all grand slams save the French Open. She has hardly any injury problems, which is very rare among tall girls like her. Her ground strokes are powerful and she has a good serve. But it is the shrieks and eternal time to serve that give her a bad reputation. All in all, I would put her up as a nice girl.

Maria Sharapova is my favourite tennis girl player..i would like to tell her hard luck in in the final but she really did a great job..Williams isnt easy..the fact that she didnt surrender from the beginning and stayed till the end is really good not liike fernando Gonzalez who totally gave up in the third set against Roger

I think shes pretty hot. I like her accent. She has nice hair. She looks good in her tennis outfits. Is that what you wanted to know? Or do you mean her tennis skills and type of person she is? As a tennis player she is very good. As a person I try not to judge. You cant get much from an interview because the media shows you what they want you to see.

I think she's overrated. She plays amazing tennis, yeah, but I think she'll soon be like the Williams sisters...wrapped up by fame and money, and get too involved in other things than the game itself. I think she emphasizes her accent to sound more Russian cause she's been living here since she was like 5 and I know people who have been living here since they were 5, even 13, and can speak perfect english without a trace of an accent. She's all American but she claims the Russian side...good for her and Russia but the accent seems phony to me. People think she's just so awesome and hot and that's all but I'm not affected by her. I'd rather see someone like Kim Clijsters, who's not full of endorsements and perfume lines win, cause to players like her, it's all about the game.

She's a sweetheart who plays hard, looks great and grunts like a 250 lb man picking up a keg of beer. I could do without her father, however.
As to the Serena match, she got her clock cleaned. It seemed to deflate her after the first set. She'll get over it.

I think she's hot. She needs to get better at tennis though. It's not good when you get blown out by a person who had made tennis a 3rd priority. (serena williams)

She is lucky to have Williams as her opponent, because it'll eventually make her (Sharapova) a better player.

I think she's aq great player, who's still a teenager, and for all her trophies and endorsements, I still think she's a regular kid like anybody else her age....
(i say this judging by her reaction to winning the US)
