What you need is to get your girlfriend to a doctor or hospital, and with no delays.
This is not normal and in fact can indicate something very, very wrong. Only a qualified doctor can be of any assistance here.
Don't let her argue her way out of this. What neither of you can possibly know is whether or not this is something that could be life-threatening.
You're quite right to be worried. Now, act on it.

There are a lot of things it could be, and it will take a doctor to find out exactly. The first thing that comes to my mind is a kidney stone. Is she having pain with it? Is she having fever? Get her to a doctor soon!

doctor now plz.
this sounds like a bladder or even a kidney infection.
if you don't go to the doctor soon for a uti, the infection could travel further into her organs and she could become seriously ill or die.

She should have a urinalysis to see if she has a urinary tract infection. If so she may need antibiotics.
