My high school is holding a Valentine dance. I bought this plain, inexpensive dress. I thought that i would have plenty of time to jazz it up a bit, but I don't really know what I should do with it. I am also going out a nice resturant with my boyfriend in it Valentine's Day, so anything I do with it, should still work well with that also.
Any ideas?

You could follow the other suggestions are to break up the monotony of red in your middle with a different color sash that doesn't hang so much. The hanging red belt draws attention to your tum and I think you're not standing straight.
I think you look really nice, and in photo 2 you look very confident and sassy. They say that it is not you wear but how you wear it. Good poise and posture can make any woman look dazzling and beautiful. I recommend standing a bit taller, with shoulders back and tucking in your tum/bum a little. Rent The Princess Diaries, and follow the lessons about poise and posture :)

I know it was suggested already but change out the red ribbon belt for a white one. If you can sew or know someone that can, maybe sew a strip of white lace edging around the bottom (or even use that no sew stuff available at any craft store). Keep the pearl necklace(s), maybe even trade one necklace out for one that ties with a satin ribbon or possibly that little touch on a bracelet even. I'd go with silver metal accents over gold (gold may look a bit 70's). Nice dangly earrings would look good too.

you're very quite, and the second one image with that golden yellow looks very tremendous! pay interest, Your no longer fat! NO way IN life! Your very quite, and dont say you go with a tiny tiny body for it because you dont! Get the scene hair and dye your hair a colour or 2 lighter then it frequently is. A more desirable blonde ought to seem good on you. and perchance get a second ear piercing to praise all of it! good luck ;D

Get like a white bolero, get rid of the ribbon somehow, unless its attached, assuming this is formal dont use a belt. instead of your long necklace, try get a shorter one with a pretty pendant or just a chain with rhinestones and stuff on it already, get matching or plain diamond earrings (who cares if they're fake XD)

You could leave the dress as is and wear rhinestone accessories. A rhinestone choker, bracelet and earring and a great silver purse. Very pretty dress BTW

A dressy white waist belt.... earrings bracelets .. rings
And ... on your shoes ... if you can find love hearts in a craft store, stick one on to them as an alternative to a bow .. they'll look really cute .. cute poses too ..

u can remove that belt that ur dress has and wear w/ a white belt or blacl belt
or u can wear a long neckles
