How do I get rid of the startup password ?

Question

I want to go directly to XP, without any password screen.
I tried the admin. tools, but, could not find the solution.

start-run-regedit- search for autologon and you're good. Remember 1 means yes and 0 value means no.

1. Click Start, click Run, and type control userpasswords2. This is a shortcut instead of having to click on Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts.
2. Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" check box.
3. Click Apply.
4. Enter the user name and password you wish to automatically log on with, and then click OK.
5. Click OK again and you're all done.

Go to the start menu, click on control panel. From there click on user accounts, there you will click on "change the way users log on" and from there pick the option to get rid of passwords for users.

ill assume you know the pass, so heres how:
(on an admin account) start menu-->run-->type "syskey"-->click the update button-->check the bottom option (system generated), and type in the existing password
to get rid of the account passwords:
go onto an admin account-->start menu-->control panel-->user accounts-->click user with password, and remove it
also get rid of all users but your own

go to control panel, then user account, change an account, then click on the acount u want to change, then click on change my password, write down u old password on the old password space, then new password, leave them blank,

go back to controll panel then click on user. under then click on change way user sign on then un check top one
