its not recommended because cost involvement will be much more than building up a new town. instead of moving the whole town you may build a new town in your desired location. Megamovers as shown in the TV moved mega structures but not the whole town. if this could be possible, USA,UK and Japan could have move their various towns to a new locations.

Easy. Lay foundations for all the buildings in the desired spot, pick up every building, and move them all north. It is quite possible; watch Mega Movers on the History Channel if you don't believe me.
