I saw this one GR amp at Sam Ash yesterday. It was a cabinet w/ a head for (I think) a total of $250. I was very surprised to see such a low price on so much, but then again I'm not sure if it ws for the whole thing or just the head, or cabinet. If I did get it, I wouldn't use any of the built-in effects, as I already have a few good pedals. I'm a pretty novice player, so I'm not looking for anything really heavy-duty or serious, but something bigger and better than what I have now (an Epiphone 10W -.- ) Would it be worth the money to get it?

I also liked it because it was bright red, so it would definitely stand out. :)

$250 sounds like it's just for the cab. The head costs usually about 2-3 times more than that. Go back and check. If it's $250 for the whole thing then grab it.

Anything is better than 10W!!!! Go have some fun, dude.

I'm not that familiar with GR, though. I use a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier in my band. I've used Hughes and Kettner, Roland, and Marshall before, too. They are all great brands. However, if you're not planning on playing any lives shows right now then go for that killer deal on the GR. It sounds pretty cool.

if you feel like registering, put it under the gear section, and ask specifically for FRPC...
ok, now for my advice if you don't want to go through all of that. go try it out. if sam ash has your guitar, use it and try all of the amps in your price range. it may not be what you are looking for, or it may be perfect. there is no way to really tell if you will like it unless you play it. what someone likes, another person may hate.

Never heard of it.. I'm sure it's better than what your currently using. For an inexpensive amp. try some of the Behringer amps.. I have there best model and use it for practice. .I use Roland and Fender amps for my gigs..For 250.00 it might be just the head. .
