Well because people are too lazy to work hard on their marriages, women are not submissive and kind to their husband's anymore, everyone still thinks it's all about me, me, me and not about "us."
It is too easy to get a divorce, that's why. People want to take the easy way out, why work at something when you can just pay someone to help make the problem go away?
People have no morals, values, ethics, or beliefs anymore. It's sad. The Bible used to be our handbook, but not anymore...I can guarantee if more people followed God and read the Bible, there wouldn't be as many divorces as there are.

There are many reasons for divorce already mentioned.
Root cause lack of communication and mutual interests.
Often times people go in different directions as they grow an mature. If they don't stay in touch with each other or their interests are so far apart, it's time for them to say goodbye.

because people are always looking for a easy way out
no one wants to stick things out and work for it. most of it is because someone decides that they don't wanna work at it anymore and you can't make someone try if they don't want to. some do it because they just realize that you CAN'T CHANGE PEOPLE if they don't wanna change. other cases are people grow apart and a marriage can't work if two people are pulling towards 4 different goals.

Many reasons, abuse, infidelity, married too young and grow apart, women have more power and don't have to stay with a man to survive, they were drunk in Vegas, and it's too easy to get married.
