Considering the fact that all candidates mortgage their future votes by kissing corporate butts for campaign funds long before they ever cast a vote, I would say the elected government is corrupted nearly to the person.

The fact that our congress and senate are debating how much and which corruptions to allow, (which specific crimes warrant removal of pension and how many earmarks will still be allowed, Lobbying reform?), pretty much speaks for itself.

There is only one way to end this corruption in our system.

Step one - End corporate contributions to candidates and corporate lobbying. This money is nothing more than a money shuffle for the corporations. The cost is near zero and the benefits are great, but only for the corporation and the lawmaker. The average voter is nearly always the loser.

Step two - Vote against the incumbent in every race, without regard to party, until step one is accomplished. The veteran lawmakers are the ones training the freshman. If all are freshman, and none are secure in their position, maybe they will act with the public interest not corporate interest in mind.

appears like you've been interpreting conspiracy concept nonsense. record credible supplies on your "data" once you're in a position, please. the U. S. authorities would have had warnings, and some previous recognize-how of the attacks; they did not blow up the towers. the USA of a is a rustic; we are no longer The Borg (action picture star trek), we are no longer the Nazis, and we are no longer the tremendous undesirable bogeyman. we are only a helpful usa who've made many blunders in our overseas coverage. There are too many people over reading each and every ingredient of yank authorities even if there is any complicated data. those conspiracy lunatics ought to locate a conspiracy in pretty a lot some thing in the experience that they are paranoid sufficient; like the determination 23 (do not forget that foolishness?) or extraterrestrial beings (may be authentic, yet no complicated data) or maybe apple juice for christ sakes. What i'm suggesting is that you're taking those "revelations" with a grain of salt even as there is not any concrete data.

All the conservatives here harping about corruption of the liberals seem to have forgotten: Duke Cunningham, Ney, Linda Chavez, Abramoff, Ralph Reed and The Hammer.

And just so the liberals can't gloat, lets not forget about Jim Trafficant, Robert Torricelli, William Jefferson, Michael Espy and Henry Cisneros.

The trough is big enough, apparently, for both parties.

In a word, yes. Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, George Bush, Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham, Donald Rumsfeld, et Al - they all participated in the corruption of this government. There will still be corruption even though the democrats won, but with the election we took serious strides towards reducing this corruption.

Of course there is.
But it is a relative thing. Compared to many nations, our government has a relatively low amount of corruption.
Does that make it OK? Of course not.
