No that would not be a good idea.
In the first place, there would be a question of definition: "what is a democracy?" Is that an organization where the "representatives of the people" in fact are the representatives of their political party, or would that be an organization where they really are the representatives of the people?
How are elections organized? When Bush was first elected he didn't have the majority of votes and the last time Labour won in England they were chosen by 20% of the electorate. Both cases are clear examples of a lopsided electoral system. Yet we call that democracy.
Secondly, excluding certain states would just divide the world more. Then another Bush would feel justified in promoting democracy in other countries than the US of A.

Eventually, yes. It's only a matter of time before the greedy in this world starts realizing that anything is possible. If I were you read the Bible more. Learn to be saved. Because the predictions in the bible is very profoundedly accurate. I'm afraid what you're mentioning now only will be surfacing right before our eyes before we know it. So, I'd say clues in the Bible will help you recognize what's going on and by then you'll be saved when you see that happening before your eyes. Non-believers will be so blind, and won't see it coming. Only the ones that truly believe and had been saved will see. Good enough, yes?. Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. I'm just telling you the truth.

The United States is at the top of the list when it comes to freedom and opportunity in the world. No matter how bad you think things are in the U.S., it is worse everywhere else in the world. I don't want to sink to the level of other countries, which is exactly what would happen with a global government.

So the 65 democracies get together, and ignore the other 130 countries in the world. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

no.
what would be the definition of democracy? even our democracies leave a lot to be desired, when a person or party who does not recieve a majority vote can still become leaders due to the technicalities.
who is to say that democracies work best for all countries?
how would this work? would it be governed? would it be compulosory for democratic nations to join? would non-democratic nations be forced to become democratic?
would countries with strong economies be compensated for the losses they are likely to suffer with the merging of currencies?
how would it work?
and i am sure there are a lot more valid questions and points that i am not politically aware enough to know to ask.
there are just too many questions and uncertainties about your proposal and unless i heard more solid information, i could not really agree with you on this point.
