1)Amend the constitution to include Education as a basic requirement for contesting Parliamentary elections.
2)Ask successful, upcoming Educated Politicians to liase more with the Public and create the awareness for the same.
3)Practice and not preach.Let the Educated Politicians be role models in Parliament so that people understand the advantages of having Educated Parliamentarians.
4)Easiest way.Let the Political Parties in India put a Minimum Education Criteria on their candidates.Will they ever is another question?

Just pick a career that makes a lot of money and requires a P.H.D. Then you can be an educated, elected politician.

Pass a law making it mandatory for all politicians too be a graduate at least-otherwise how do we expect the future of our country to prosper in the hands of an illiterate lot.

you know most of our central ministers are very well educated
in foriegn universities. the problem is not about the education but it is about the mind set... what they aim for? money or welfare of mankind? this is the problem here... this has only one solution...
if u want to do something good come forward... u need not become a chief minister or mla mp etc... atleast become a ward counselor and do good thing to ur people... atleast u can do this...
this is the reform that india needs now

by making a minimum selection criteria, such as:
1- minimum educational qualification
2- a short GS & Behaioural testfor all the interested candidates

Education should be provided to each and every citizen of India
if there is 90% literacy then, we can hope to have educated MLA'S AND MP'S. our leaders come from our society only.

1. Total Computerization of all land records and biometric attendance systems for municipal staff including the minister for municipal administration ,commissioner and complete staff of MC.

2. All Tax receipts and records to be computer generated, maintained online and citizens charter to be displayed in English and Local language.

3. Monthly meeting on a 2nd Saturday between all wards members and the Municipal staff headed by Commsr. Minutes and developmental activities to be circulated wide newsletter to all the taxpayers in the municipal jurisdiction.

4. Mandatory to frame a law - people cannot contest elections in municipal or gram panchayat level who have more than 2 kids- apply this law seriously. Any person with criminal backgrounds and FIR pending in any police station cannot contest any election or hold any important post relating to municipal /gram panchayat bodies which might be detrimental to the interests of the citizen [e.g. Municipal staff Union leader etc..]

5. Salaries of the Municipal staff to displayed on the notice board and contract workers to be given regular appraisal /month end. Do not employ anyone on govt recruitment but employ all on outsourcing basis in order to avoid unnecessary strikes.

6. Every quarterly balance sheet of funds and yearly audit to be sent to all taxpayers of greater Hyderabad wide newsletter or published in English and Local newspapers

7. All civic disputes to be addressed under Consumer Forum

8. Any public servant holding assets disproportionate to his/her income should be terminated from service without any benefits

9. Any Political / Trade union cannot hold the PUBLIC LIFE AT ransom by having rallies during the rush hour, indefinite strikes ,curb all types of pollution with stringent laws , accountability at all levels.

10. Awareness drive at every school /college and make the YOUTH take active participation.

11. Can we stop the Land grabbers or their henchmen in contesting the next elections

12. Can we grab the assets other than that declared Election Commission Affidavits of our M.P /M.L.A etc and use
it for environmental development?

13.Can we publish the names of defaulters in leading dailies /TV [ as we do for missing people] of
a. .Elec- TRANSCO/DISCOM b. BSNL c.water works

14. Can we have one rate across city/town for Cable TV Services and eradicate this mafia ?

15. Stop construction activity [of any apartment more than G+2] between APR – JULY every year ?

16. Sterilization of stray animals

17. Can we stop giving permission to educational institutions without playground?

18. Registration of marriages compulsory for all marriage halls/pundits/qazis/church else penalize them?

19. Blood Test mandatory for the couple prior to the registration of marriage

20. Respective ‘RWA’s to help improve the infrastructure and quality of education in Govt/Z.P/aided schools

21. Can we penalize the ROAD DIGGERS[ Reliance,TATA etc] for compensation ?

22. Can we automate and professionalize Municipal workers and their jobs ?

23. Can we stop the cinema theatres/entertainment parks charging more than MRP ?

24.Can we stop the Political/ Religious /Caste rallies being held at Indian tax Payer’s stadiums ?

25. Streamline healthcare facilities at Public healthcare centers

26. Can we stop giving permissions to malls without parking lots and RTA check posts too ?

27. All parking lots of Govt/ Private/ Commercial complexes/Airports/Road/Rail under Single head.

An Indian parliament costs Rs17000/second, 545 MP's sitting in parliament for 5 years costs the INDIAN TAX PAYER - Rs855 crores .Every M.P.is allotted Rs1.25 crores under M.P.Lads scheme .

Now my dear friend , don't you think accountability starts from your house , your colony , your ward/gram panchayat member, your corporator, your M.P..M.L.A.

Let any political or regional party NOT make mockery of democracy by dividing the INDIAN any further.
