I have diabetic type 1 and on insulin. I have a 13 months old baby girl delivered through c-section. I am planning for another baby. Some people said that i have to wait for two years for that. When is the correct time for me to conceive again?

Usually the doctor advices at least 2-3 yrs break before you conceive again if you've had the C-section. I have a friend who conceived few months after her first C-section. Her doctor encouraged her to keep her child but she mentioned feeling pain in her womb during the pregnancy as the stitches were not fully healed. She had to go through another C-section for her 2nd child and it took a much longer time to heal after that. I had a C-section myself and it took more than 2 yrs before I could move around freely without feeling the pain internally. Do let the stitches heal before you conceive again so pregnancy won't be unpleasant for you.

I agree with everyone else, talk to your doctor. I have also heard that you should wait about two years after having a c-section, but I would trust the word of my doctor.

Did those people tell you that you have to wait because of the c-section? Or because of your diabetes? I would ask your doctor, they would know best.
