It might be Weird Al. I do know of one about an angel singing about getting stuck on top of a christmas tree. It has parts like "who put this stump in my rump de dump?" and is to the tune of "Who put the Bop in the Bop-She-Bop-She-Bop" (a 50's tune, it might even be in Grease).
