Treasure Island is a great hotel. the best part is it's location. Right in the middle of the strip. If this is your first time in Vegas I would recommend walking down to the south end of the strip first and see as many casino's that you can. Some of the best ones in Vegas are very close by. Then cross over to the other side of the street and work your way back to Treasure Island. This will take all day and most of the night if you try and do it in one day. Then on the next day walk down the north side of the strip and do the same thing.

You can even stop at the fashion mall, which is right across the street and do some mall type shopping if you are not a big fan of the forum shops in all of the casinos.

Treasure Island tends to attract a younger crowd - 20-30, mainly because of the Tangerine Bar that is outside and faces the strip. It is always jumping and has great drink specials for guests of the hotel.

The pool is fantastic but, can get busy on the weekends, try and go out early around 8:00 a.m. to reserve your spot.

They also tends to have lower table limits and extremely friendly dealers.

All in all it is a great place to stay.

Have a great time!

Stayed there last April for six days with two other families, each family had two teenage daughters. The rooms have everything you need, except a coffeemaker. The pool area is nice, but on the small side. We spent our days there and had lunch poolside, no problem getting chairs or towels. The hotel has a Starbuck's, Krispy Kreme, Ben&Jerry's and other in-house places. The one thing I really like about TI is that the casino is not huge! It's very easy to find your way around. The location is good, center strip is always better but the low price makes the extra walking worthwhile. Sign-up for e-mail specials on their website! Another plus is that it is connected to the mall by a walkway. This was actually one of our best family trips--which doesn't sound quite right, but it's true.

I personally preferred the old Treasure Island, when it was more pirates and skulls. Now they have jumped on the Palms/HardRock bandwagon and tried to make it super sleek, chic, & contemprary which totally doesn't go with a pirate Motif! They lose points for that, but gain points for all the new venues that have opened up since the remodel. Social House is a bad*ss place to eat sushi and Tangerine is a hotspot for all burlesque/ultra lounge fans. Kahunaville is like Spring Break every day. None of these new places have the slightest thing to do with pirates, but they are cool none the less.

I stay at TI most of the time. Their deals are really good (relative to other hotels on the strip), and we mostly only sleep at the hotel anyway. The location is great, right across the street from the big mall, Venetian, and catty corner from Wynn. If you want to see a Cirque show, Mystere (which is at TI) is the highest rated one.

Their buffet was vastly improved in the last couple years. I only go when it's comped, though. Other ones (like Aladdin, Bellagio, Wynn -- in order of price) are worth the extra money.

Most of the hotels there are pretty basic, room with bed and/or beds, tv, bathroom, etc.. But I found staying at the Rio, was pretty nice rooms,, all the room include a couch, recliner chair, tv, beds, bathroom.. So if you just want to rest your feet , you don't have to just sit on the bed,,, sit on the couch and put your feet on the coffee table....And one of the disadvantage staying there is- they are not on the strip,, but free shuttle buses to harrah, which is on the strip.
Sign up for total reward -get a discount..

I had a friend stay at mandalay bay,, the rooms were nice,, but if you plan to stay there,, book a package deal which includes your room there, i heard it is much cheap that way... The pool,, more like a small beach with a wave machine..

Majority of the time is not spend in the room, so I usually just get something that is on the strip and is clean, non smoking and not too noisy(bar band playing til 2:30a in the morning, outside your window).

It was pretty good, i had no complaints. It depends on the type of room ur staying in cause the one i had was pretty nice, 2 bathrooms, couches, etc. As far as gambling experience goes, can't see how its any different from any of the other casinos. Now for amenities, not as good as my stay at MGM, but that costs more. If ur looking near the TI location, i might suggest its partner hotel next door, pretty sure its the mirage.

I LOVED it. The staff was great, I found it easy to get around the hotel - sometimes I get disoriented in the casinos, but I didn't have that issue here. The room was fantastic - spotless, upscale, and no noise. It's my first choice hotel in Vegas.

I have been to Las Vegas like, a million times and I would not suggest staying there. Don't get me wrong, it's very nice, but if you are in Vegas stay at the Mandala bay! The pool, rooms, and resturaunts are incredible! the Whynn is also extremely nice!
