American Citizens are his employer, his occupation is Commander in Chief, they put senator, congressman, whatever they are. Yes the President can be audited. The president does not get paychecks he gets his money Direct Deposit from the Treasurers Office.

The president (as in whoever fills the office at the time, spelled in lower case for a reason) works for US - the people.

Anyone that walks into the White House should ideally be able to just say hey - I want the president to get me a glass or water - no not command a butler to do it, but to do it personalty - simply because I as a CITIZEN (ie - the BOSS) told the president to do so.

If the president (as in whoever fills that office at the moment) does this, THEN, I will call THAT INDIVIDUAL mr./ms. president and will respect them according to what their office represents.

I respect the office of the president no matter what. I also start with ZERO respect for whoever HOLD the office of the president (by definition, temporary) until they PROVE TO ME they are worthy in my opionion. I don't have to prove anything to the president. Rather, they HAVE TO PROVE their worth to me as a citizen.

The government works for me, I do NOT work for the government. (you agree or you don't understand/disagree with the Constitution - either way, there are plenty of countries that will accept your dogma... as long as you don't expect the first ammendment)

On the other hand - I rely on my fellow citizens to enforce this FACT.

I'd like to think they do, but in reality, its more realistic to prepare for Guantanimo.

We the People of the United States employ and pay the president. I believe his checks are signed by the The US Treasury head. Any tax paying American can be audited.

American people are his boss. Shouldn't he be impeached for doing such a bad job?
