Using the master key in the driver's side door locks up the whole car, then there's a pause and everything unlocks. Same thing if I lock the car from the inside - brief pause and then everything unlocks. However, if I lock the door from the inside while the engine is running it stays locked. Any way to fix this myself and/or turn off auto locking in the meantime? Thanks.

Well this is so you cant lock your keys in the car and if you are at a stop sign you cant get car jacked.
I know it is a pain but for what you paided for the car I would be glad I have it.

I'd consult the owner's manual. Newer cars allow you to program your car to unlock only the driver's door when the ignition is turned off, only the front doors, or all of the doors.
