how to send money from canada to us other than bank wire/wu?

other than bank wire or western union, how can i send money from canada to us ? western union fee is very high..

Banks can easily do transfers from one person to another, anywhere in the world. But he needs to go o his bank with your banking details to arrange it. It could be done by a bank draft (which he would mail to you) or by electronic transfer. Both services cost money in fees of course. Otherwise he can easily use Western Union (though they too charge fees). He goes to a Western Union office and does the transfer. He then tells you the "code" and the question and answer and you can go to a Western union office near where you live with that information and pick up the money.
