If you DO conceive on the pill, it WILL NOT hurt your baby. I was in the same boat so I did pleanty of research. The pill is only made to make you stop ovulating by giving you pregnancy hormones, so your body will think you're already pregnant and not release any eggs. Pills a long time ago caused birth defects in babies, but now babies whose mothers took pills have the exact same percentage of birth defects as babies whose mothers didn't take the pill at all. The pill won't kill your baby...if it would no one would have an abortion, they'd just take birth control pills for a coule months, wouldn't they? You may bleed when you stop taking the pill as withdrawal bleeding, but if your pregnancy and embryo are healthy, you will not miscarry when that happens. I sure didn't. Good luck, honey!

There is no evidence that the birth control pill causes miscarriages (in its usually doses) nor harms the fetus in any way.
You can continue to take the pill until two weeks after the unprotected sex and then get a blood test done to be sure whether you are or are not pregnant. If you can't get a blood test use urine tests at 2 and 3 weeks.

I am guessing that you didn't take the pill that day (missed one day) and then had sex and took pill the next day. That shouldn't be a problem and chance of pregnancy is minimal. I would keep taking the pills.
According to your name, I am guessing you are a student at either Mississippi State University or Michigan State University. Just call and make an appointment at the School health center (they should be able to fit you in that day) and get tested. They shouldn't charge you anything and the results would be confidential. They might do a blood or urine test, I don't know. Good luck.

If you are on oral contraceptives and are taking them regularly, according to package directions and doctor's orders, then the whole idea is that you should NOT be ovulating at all. Basically, the pill tricks your body into thinking that it's pregnant, and you don't ovulate. So if you were ovulating a week ago, then chances are you were NOT taking your pill regularly, and you should have stopped taking it beforehand and used a back-up method until you started your period. If you were taking your pill regularly, you probably were not ovulating, and you shouldn't have anything to worry about - just keep taking the pill until your scheduled period, and if your period doesn't arrive, then take a pregnancy test.

I didn't find out I was pregnant with my daughter until I was 6 weeks so I took my pill for a few weeks after I got pregnant and she turned out just fine. If you stop taking your pill you might miss your period even if you are not pregnant. I'd suggest just calling your doctor and asking them what to do. They will probably be able to get you in for a blood test within a few days. Good luck!

If there is any possibility that you are pregnant, then yes you must stop taking the pill. If you read the instruction/Drug info sheet re: the pill that you are taking it will also tell you to stop taking and see a doctor. Don't take them anymore until you know for sure whether or not you are pregnant.

If there is a chance of being pregnant, you should stop taking the pill and call your doctor. They can give you a blood test for quick and accurate results.

yeah thats how i had my misscarriage. but i had no idea i was pregnant until i started to bleed out alot after taking the pill regularly into a month and half pregnancy that i didn't know of, i went to the doc and was informed i had a misscarriage. i hurts even worse when you don't know your pregnant in the first place. do me a favor, go get checked, make sure to run a blood test, not a urine. blood tests are more acurate.

well listen to yourself. If the pill will hurt the
baby. What is it you should not do?
If this pill was such a great thing why does it hurt so many. Women, and babies. Only God knows how many babies it has already hurt. because that is why it is the pill. Little abortions hours or days after conception in the women that take them.....To bad the people do not understand whet they are really involved in.
