physics questions ( uncertainty)?

An object was measured with a metre stick. At one end the reading was (1.00+- 0.05) cm. and at the other ( 13.73 +- 0.02) cm. How long is this object?

I would think that the length is 13.73 - 1.00 = 12.73cm the only other part is the uncertainty which I would add to get +/- 0.07
