I have to go to court on the 3rd over my V.O.P on traffic charges. My lawyer told me to plead not guilty then I can go straight home. Is this true or will I have to go to jail and get bonded out? I am just a worrier and I am hoping that this is going to go smoothly. Thank you all!

The girl's response above me made me laugh "Also just remember that attorney's always want to win their business depends on it. " Regardless an attorney is paid, this is why they want paid upfront, win or loose they have the money..

If you plead not guilty you should be able to go home but it is in the hands of the court and weirder things have happened. Good luck.

I'm not even gonna lie to you: If you have a private lawyer, then ask questions but, If you have a court appointed lawyer, then get your bail money ready.

If you hired your lawyer you should trust his decisions. If your feeling uneasy ask him why your supposed to do this. Part of an attorney's job is to educate his clients. Also just remember that attorney's always want to win their business depends on it.
