A really good book - I am in the process of reading it. Wouldn't it be nice if all the principles involved would read it and say - "yes, that's the way we will do it." Then sit down and talk. The answer as he puts it forth is really quite simple - adhere to the UN Resolutions. So many people have died, so many lives shattered when the answer is right there in front of them!!!!

Yeah, it's funny how something that happened 30 years ago is having such devastating affects on us today.
The Islamic radicals have been around since the 1920's, but it was Carter's success at overthrowing the Shah of Iran in 1976 that put the Ayatollah Khomeini into power and began the growth of the radicals who now commit the terrorist acts we have to endure today. Anyone with an ounce of history knowledge knows this, but there are a lot of ignorant folk out there who think Jimmy is just a sweet old man who builds houses for poor people. What a good front.
It's a shame more people don't wake up to the real evil this former president is and all the problems he caused while in office a mere 4 years. It's amazing how one man can cause so much damage to our security in such a short time. And those who were around during his reign know how much damage he caused to the economy. Everyone realized how dangerous he was back then and so he lost his reelection bid. Luckily they voted in an honest man as his successor and the economic problems he caused were corrected, but how do we fix the terrorist problems Jimmy Carter caused?
He goes on all these shows hoping the people will forget how bad a leader he was, but it would be better if he just disappeared so we wouldn't be reminded all the time at how evil and corrupt he was and still is. He's a disgrace to this country and as everyone has said, he was the worst president in our history. Nothing can change that fact.

I really think Carter has gone crackers. Why did so many of his staffers resign after the book came out?
In response to the Iran comment - remember the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979? That was a direct result of our support of the Shah.

Carter was lousy president and now he is a lousy pursuer of peace. I never liked that guy and never will no matter what he says and does. He should go back to growing peanuts.

are you aware that 15 members of his Carter Center board resigned over that book? they said that he misrepresented things, lied about conversations they were present during, stuff like that.
since the UN is a corrupt bully, why would anyone in their right mind listen to it?
and since we can thank Jimmah for the mess we're in right now with Iran, i would certainly NOT trust him to do any kind of "peace talks." it would somehow end up biting us in the ***.

Jimmy Carter is an idiot. And I'm not sure you can even call it "his" book, since he plagiarized so much of it.
