What side of the aluminum foil do you use....shiny or dull?

The funny thing about this is that the shiny side has less surface area thus if you think aluminum affects food flavor or aluminum ions are naughty causes of alzhiemers then shiny side toward what you eat is better.

Shiny side out is more visually pleasing making it more likely you will eat the food, this if you pack other people's lunches shiny side out may be of greatest benefit.

if you make double shiny side foil you create a better tinfoil hat.

The shiny side works the best for repelling the mind-reading rays of the aliens. At first I put the dull side out and was kind of disappointed. I could still feel my head tingle a little but when I turned it over so the shiny side was out the tingling went totally away.

hmmm..I had to think about this one. When I cover food, I use the dull side touching the food; but, when I line a pan to bake in, I use it shiny side up.
