perhaps my favorite question to date :)
its hard to pick one favorite, but i like two songs in particular: lip service (this year's model -- one of my favorite albums) and poison moon (b side on my aim is true). i think both demonstrate the tremendous range that he has musically.
but there are many others, and the classic pump it up will always hold a special place in my heart

Either Ship Building or Green Shirt or Oliver's Army or Watching the Detectives or Veronica or Let'em Dangle or ...... Man, I can't pick...I love 'em all. I'm a huge fan of his earlier stuff. Anything after Spike ... well, he just takes himself waaay too seriously.
