I think they should stop thanking God for helping them win. It's a tired cliche' and it sounds corny.

A long time ago, 20-30 years, it was rare for an athlete to get camera time that was meaningful - but when they did, it was pretty interesting stuff. Sure, it was full of cliches and old time - win one for the Gipper ra-ra but it was entertaining.

Today's world of in your face every day leaves athletes with a deer in the headlights as to what to actually say anything of any merit.

I say take the microphones away from these guys and just let them play the sport.

I really think "annoying" were not a good enough reason to ban these words.
Some players are saying these words because of their habits of saying so while others are saying these so that they looked cool on camera.

There's a simple answer: if you don't like what they're saying or how they're saying it, don't listen.

If the interview is important enough, you won't care what the athlete says.

You racist! If we ban that then whats next? Ban hip-hop clothing, take away their 20 million dollar salaries.

Yes, please. And while you are banning phrases, can we include the word "absolutely?" That one word drives me nuts!! "You know what I'm saying?" "Absolutely."
