i have been at my job 90 days and i can almost take a week off for vacation but just a day and half if i get sick

You're right! Your employer should reduce your vacation time to match your sick time!

Seriously though. Your employer is giving a new employee 6 sick days and 20 vacation days a year. That's very generous.

How sick are you planning to be? 6 days should be plenty unless you have chronic health problems.

Where I work we have CTO or "combined time off". We accumulate a certain number of hours per pay period (depending on length of employment) and those hours can be used for anything.

It sounds like your employer automatically gives you one week's vacation upon hire, but you have to accumulate your sick days. That's because your vacation probably has to be planned ahead and the whole week taken at one time.

No, if you need that much sick leave you must be a very sickly person. And if you have 1 weeks vacation time already then you already work for a very generous company. I wouldn't quibble about the sick time!
