a good trick is when you add the digits of a number together, if they add up to a multiple of 3 then they are both multiples of 3

189 --- 1+8+9=18 ---- 18 = 3*6
120 ---- 1+2+0=3 ------ 3 = 3*1

divide both by 3 to simplify
189/3=63 ,,,,, 120/3=40

63/40

By "simplify," I gather that you would want to reduce the fraction as much as possible as follows:

189 ÷ 120 = 63 ÷ 40 = 1 23/40
