What do you think of wearing shiny spandex tights outside of the gym?

I started wearing shiny spandex tights to the gym a few months ago. I noticed that guys checked me out more when I wore them - I got plenty of stares. I figured this attention wasn't so bad, so I started wearing the tights around town - school, shopping, all over the place. Does anyone else do this, or am I making a major fashion blunder? I think I have very nice legs.

even if u have very nice legs hun, those tights and such are on there way out....they got u noticed in the gym cuz ur butt probably looked good in them and if uve got nice legs u r probably really good to look at lol...but a nice pair of jeans probably does the trick to!

I can't speak for anyone else. If I see a guy with a nice butt, or in spandex who has a nice package, I'm probably going to notice. And when guys talk to my chest instead of my face, I know why. It's human nature, I don't understand why anybody has to get so worked up about it. All people are people watchers, to some extent. I have also been known to point out a nice rack on another woman. I'm not even sure that there is a hypocracy, by and large. I imagine that the majority of women who are bothered by being gawked at would never gawk at a man's package. I imagine that the women you've caught checking you out are simply less concerned with all that, and simply doing what we humans do.

You were probably looked at because a lot of men, including moowaw, find it attractive on a woman.

If you like it, wear it. Baggier bell bottoms were the latest craze but they are fading out slowly and will likely be laughed at and hated eventually like any fad. Spandex tights just seem to hang in there. Not as popular with all as they used to be, but always there. They seem to be appearing everywhere lately.

My wife wears the softer shiny ones sometimes when working out or doing errands. She looks great.

Again, if you like it, wear it!

There is nothing wrong with that. I dont know about the SHINY ones, you need to put that away lol...

A few months ago I wore some black leggings with a sweater and some knee high boots to the club and I loved the attention.

But anyway thats besides the point, be comfortable wearing WHATEVER you want. There is nothing wrong with feeling sexy. Dont listen to these clowns.. I do, however suggest you not wear anythign SHINY except in ur accessories.

You can show off your legs in a number of ways: tight jeans, a skirt and regular opaque tights, sheer pantyhose. It's probably your legs and rear that are attracting guys' attention, not the shiny tights themselves. You'll definitely attract male attention by wearing shiny tights outside the gym, but you can get such attention wearing other things as well.

I wear spandex outside of the gym. I also run cross country and track in them. I love just hanging out and chilling in my spandex. i just wouldnt recommend wearing them to the mall unless your part of volleyball team and have a jersey to go with it.

Most people will say that wearing shiny spnadex out if a no no. I would not wear it out unless I was going to some costume party of 80's retro party. I thikn it is fine to wear in the gym and at home.

I myself own many outfits in spandex and wear them at home and the gym.

Awww. go ahead and wear them spandex tights outside. But, make sure you mix them up with some of those micro-fiber and lycra tights. Heck, better not forget them cotton and wool ones - I'll bet you will double the attention to them legs of yours.

That IS a big fashion blunder. Never wear spandex outside of the gym! The attention you're getting is due to the fact that you probably have nice lags and a nice rear, so instead of wearing spandex, why don't you try wearing skinny jeans? It's more fashionable, and very chic.
