Rehab seems to be the last refuge of a scandal. Every time someone gets caught doing something stupid, they head to rehab. Paula is at least functual.

Paula Abdul should be able to live her life the way she wants to and not have to worry about the public criticizing her. There are people out there every day that get high and drink all the time and don't get criticized, but the second that 'somebody' turns into a television star it's suddenly important that they get all this bad junk from people? Like you people have nothing better to do with yourselves then criticize people, it's not like you guys are perfect in everything you do. Grow up humans :) It's uninvitable that people will do what they want.

Paula should go to rehab if and ONLY if she has a drug/alcohol problem...I'm sick of seeing celebrities going to rehab every time they get caught doing something in the media, instead of because they're actually an addict or alcoholic. Michael Richards gets caught on a cell phone during a rascist rant...goes to rehab to save face. Sara Conner parties for a week after being crowned Miss America...goes to rehab...Trump lets her keep the tiara.
As a recovering addict, I personally find it appalling how celebrities use their status and wealth to take advantage of treatment centers to improve their image....they get caught looking like a moron and all of a sudden they "have a problem". Check themselves in, and everyone forgives them. There are addicts and alcoholics dying every day who don't get the help they need, many because they won't go...but many because they can't go because it's too expensive.
I say, every celebrity that checks in for a 28 day PR stint should donate the same amount so someone with a REAL problem can get the help they need.
Oh, and as far as Paula goes....I don't know if she's an addict or alcoholic, but to me she looked like she was gooned on pain pills during that news interview I saw. Technical difficulties with the audio don't make your eyelids droop like that, trust me.

Paula Abdul is not on drugs! Its a big huge lie, and very mean. She was just tired in that news interview. I think it is sick what they are doing to Paula. She is a great drug free person.

Yes. Definitely. She came over and stayed at my house a couple weekends ago. She got drunk and took too many of those pills. She tried to kiss my husband but ended up barfing on him. I finally got her to go to bed (which she peed in). She got up in the middle of the night and for some reason couldn't find the bathroom so she crapped in my kitchen sink. I am not having her over again.
