There are many places where your father can get blank 1099's. He does have to fill one out for each laborer to whom he paid at least $600 over the course of the year. And he's supposed to get them in the mail by Wednesday at the latest.

Here's a link to the IRS form 1099-MISC, but it's for informational use only. It also has info on how to get the forms:

And here's a link to the instructions on how to complete the form:

Good luck to you and your father :)

I'm sure that you have other options but we just generated 1099s for our small business with Paycycle.com online. It was easy and relatively inexpensive ($25 to do about 30 of them). The program asks you for the information, you enter it and it generates printed forms for you to print and give to the payees, keep one for yourself and they electronically submit the data to the IRS so that you (the employer/payor) do not have to do that on your own. I was pretty pleased with it for the second year.

Does your father have an accountant? He should be able to provide it. They needed as a business to be reporting this all along.
