If color affects heat, it woul dhave to affect temp since temp is the measure of heat.

Black is the absence of light. Being so, when light approaches blackness, the blackness will absorb it.
On the other hand, white is the presence of light, it will reflect the light rays that hit it, therefore not absorbing heat and therefore not raising temperature.
It's not the color per se (red blue orange) so much as it is the value (how dark or light the hue is)
A light blue will reflect more light than a dark orange, even though most people think of orange as a lighter color than blue. It depends on how much black or white (value) the color contains.

If you were to take a black object and a white object and place them near a radiator, they would both get equally hot. Put those same objects in the sun, however, and the black one will become hotter than the white.

Both the Sun and the radiator would heat the objects through radiant heat. But the reason the black object will get hotter in the sunlight is because the Sun's radiant heat comes in the form of a proton-wave particle that can be reflected. The lighter the color, the better the reflection and the less heat that is retained in the object.

So in a sense, color manipulates the efficiency of particular forms of heat on an object, but does not effect heat itself.

It sure does, while some colors absorbs the heat coming from a lighting source, some others reflects it. A good example would be Black and White.. have you ever noticed that you get hotter wearing a black t-shirt in the summer than a white one?

color doesnt affect temperature
but it affects heat
different colors absorb heat in varying amounts. black more than white. if you look tht up, you can find actual figures, and tht would help
