Yes. I bought Bankamerica 30 years ago at 12. It's since split twice and is currently at 52. But I also bought Mortgage.com and rode it into bankruptcy.

A little. I have stocks that doubled and tripled in value and split.
I hang on to them. I don't know enough to sell and trade all the
time.
