I have seasonally dry winter skin, and I fix it by washing my face with Cetaphil for normal or dry skin, remove my eye makeup with a seperate eye makeup remover (I use Loreal) and then moisturize with Cetaphil for dry skin. The PH balance in these products works like nothing else, cheap or expensive, that I have ever tried, and are so gentile they can be used on sensitive skin. When I do this, I wear my normal Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (which is not moisturizing in itself), powder blush, etc. and my skin glows. Cetaphil products are available at most all drug and grocery stores, and the generic versions work great too.

If you have irritated skin, heavy concealers and foundations are going to make it worse and look flaky. What does your daily beauty ritual look like? If your skin is irritated, only use warm water to wash your face. The hot water will dry it out more. Use a mild cleansing product at night and just water in the morning. Apply moisturizer with an SPF 15 or higher. You might want to try a tinted moisturizer, like ones from Neutrogena or Clinique. I'd avoid using loose powder or bronzer because they often contain mica and talcum powders that can further irritate your skin. Highlight your eyes with appropriate shadow/liner/mascara.
Try to stick to something that has hypo-allergenic on the lable. Avoid makeup that contains salicyllic acid or benzyol peroxides. Clinique, Neutrogena, and Origins are my favorites for when my skin freaks out on me.
Good luck!

Sooth your skin first. Use a moisturizer for sensitive skin, maybe even a visit to the dermatologist if you can. Make up over irritated skin....you could cause more irritation. Seriously, sooth that skin first....and then use something very gentle until your skin is back to normal.

I know a lot of the department stores carry make-up for sensitive skin. It is very important to moisturize your skin, especially your face which is exposed to the wind.

you should put a good skin lotion before make-up. so your skin won't get irrated that much. also, you have to put the good quality and for senstive skin make-up if you wear make-up.
if i were you, i would spend money on skin care, so i don't need to wear much make-up for skin. if you have goood skin, you can skip the foundation, but only need to put the conclenar, and a bit of loose power to amke the skin glow. everything else won't be matter.

All I know is that if you use moisturizer everyday that won't make your makeup hurt as bad.
