How can a man go to sleep after an argument?

My boyfriend and I have been together over 4 years now. Earlier tonight we had a pretty serious arguement. I left the room and he went to sleep. Here I am an hour later and I still can't relax. Is that normal for a guy? If so, can someone tell me why?

Very normal. I did this all the time. I don't know what you argued about, but I am willing to bet he basically had had it. There was nothing to say constructive, so might as well go to sleep.

Don't believe this crap people say about not going to bed angry. If two people have argued, and they are tired, they will not solve anything. Might as well get some rest. Also, most of the time, by the next morning, you will both see whatever you were argueing over really wasn't worth it anyway.

My advice, do not wake him up. It will just lead to more argueing.

What were you argueing over anyway? Knowing that would make it easier to answer.

What you are saying is that your wife is either a liar, or a cheater. Your wife sounds like she has major growing up to do. Even if she is not cheating, she is still very disrespectful toward you. No spouse deserves to be treated in this manner. I would tell her how much you disapprove of her harsh words, and I would watch her very carefully. Everyone deserves respect in their marriage. You need to dig for the truth and then make some decisions for your future, with her or without her! Good Luck!

Guys don't like argument, He probably was tired before argument and after that he would be worn out.

I have the same problem with my boyfriend sometimes. I'm going to have to be blunt about this. He probably doesn't care. Or, maybe he just feels it was an argument not worth stressing about and knows that it's all going to go well the next day. Plus woman do tend to be more emotional than men, so you kind of have to give him a little bit of leeway for that.

Oh my .........My husband A*& of 20 yrs has always done this.

I wish I really knew why. I THOUGHT THAT IS WAS THAT HE DIDNT CARE.

However, I dont think thats true.

My sisters husband can be an A#$ and he does that but in every day life he is great (BUT TRYS TO ACT LIKE HES ALL MACHO) I really think that men approach problems so different than women do.
FIRST I think they look at each issue as just that AN ISSUE

I've experienced this. They do that when they really don't care. My ex did that. Oh God, how he made me miserable. He would say he hated being a father, he hated being a husband, and he hated just having to be a man in general, then go to sleep. So, I gave him what he wanted. I divorced his sorry a55.

Actually, yeah, guys can do this. Emotional problems are just like any other problems for guys....they can only do so much in a day. If it's late and they are too tired, it can wait, just like fixing the leak in the kitchen sink. Don't take it personal, that's just the way most guys are.

The man was tired. Plus, some men are less sensitive than others. They don't take things too close to their heart, because they understand that tomorrow will be a differnt day and things will be back to normal, if they don't take it close to their heart.

Did u start the argument. Thats probably the reason why you cant relax. And yes its pefectly normal for a guy. Sometimes they can be a s s holes. Not purposely trying to hurt us.But just being them. U guys will get over it.
