living room? This means she could only play in her room... (almost the whole house has carpet, except the kitchen, her room and the bathroom)

But she's in the age when she wants to crawl and explore...

I read all kinds of bad things about carpets... Should I be concerned? What can I do?
Thanks!

I'd shampoo the carpets and rinse them really well first, then make the rule of no shoes allowed on the carpeting. That will cut down on what gets tracked in from inside, and with regular vaccuuming, it'll be fine. Good luck!

I know what you mean I had the same fears as you do but I came to the conclusion that I cannot put my baby in a bubble. He was to encounter these things or he will never build an immunity system. Just be sure to vacuum, get the carpet cleaned periodically, and more importantly wash her hands well before every meal.

I'd only keep her off a brand new carpet (that might still be off-gassing), one that was recently cleaned with chemicals, and of course a very dirty carpet (like in a public area). Besides those 3 scenarios I wouldn't be worried at all. Enjoy! she'll be up on her feet and running around in the blink of an eye :)

Linoleum adhesive won't bond nicely to carpet. to no longer point out that the enhance and contraction of the carpet can wreck your efforts. you have have been given to tear it up. I even have this comparable difficulty, and we put in laminate wood flooring (which looks nicer than common previous linoleum), and it facilitates. you may ought to probable take each and every thing out to place in linoleum besides, so do it good the 1st time and get rid of the carpet.

look, i'm not trying to give you a bad advise, just keep this in mind, OK!
I'm from family with 7 children, and we all grew up on rugs, and we never, ever got ill, caused by dust mites and others. Of course, the surface you leave your kids on, should be clean, but i do not believe there's any thing to do with all these insects showing on commercials. It's commercial after all!!!
JUST KEEP THE RUG CLEANED with regular vacuuming. Good luck with your kids.

If your family has severe allergies, yes, don't have any carpeting in your house.

Otherwise, I see no problem in letting your baby crawl on vacuumed carpeting.

Once you see her eating a bug or drinking from the dog's bowl, you will stop your worrying. It is a proven fact that children nowadays don't have the immunity to things that our parents did as we are always protecting them. Let her build up her immunity. You will appreciate it when you want to go back to work (if you do) as she will have fewer sick days.

no matter what you do, you can't keep your lil one from germs, sickness, and dust mites, etc. let her roam around. little do we know whats in our carpets, she's gonna want to roam around and needs to explore things!! i would love it if i didn't have dust mites, and such in my carpet, but, we're not perfect!! they find a way to get in! let her go!!! have fun enjoying it too!! good luck!

Just vacuum every day if your worried, but we can't protect them from all germs, thats how shes going to build an immune system, so just let her explore all over.
