I am constantly making up skits and plays for school and things and the number one trick is to make the kids laugh! They never like to see some soap opera or something. Try a play on words, you know like something that can be used two ways. That usually makes kids laugh. And talking about "The Apprentince" I think that's a very good idea. Acctually, for a skit we had to make up at camp, my friends and I changed up some TV shows. It was so funny! Like, instead of "Little Einsteins" we did "Little Frankensteins".

Wow a 15 minute Lunch? Are you in an oppressed country? :)

You don't state your age or the ages of the students, but in 15 minutes the varieties are endless, but may not allow you to get deeply involved. Beyond that, consider the attention span of the audience, their time frame, and NEED to actually EAT a lunch.

I suggest you keep it simple, light, and easier to digest than school lunch menus often are. Don't repeat a performance in any given week, and take some valid, recognizable situations even from LIFE that the kids can relate to.

You might even break up the week by having a 15 minute READING, of books they are currently involved with, perhaps as an interactive thing with your fellow performers, using props.

In any case don't stress over it. What you've been offered seems to be a great, even if brief, mentoring period, as well as some credibility for yourself.

What about a mini "The Apprentice". Have one of your friends play your principal (Mr. Trump) and have each of the other kids apply to be a teacher by teaching the most interesting class - perhaps on breakdancing or something else fun. This could take place over several days. Of course, the principal would say "You're Fired" each day to one of the kids.

Have fun with this.
