I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend the first day I started my birth control pills. I took 2 pills the next morning. Could I be pregnant?

This only happened last Friday. Can I still take emergency contraception? How long would it be until I could take a test?

And if by chance I am pregnant, and I won't know for awhile, is it going to hurt anything by continuing the pills? And yes, I know your supposed to wait a week before you have unprotected sex.

When you start taking birth control pills you need to have a back-up method for at least the first 7 days. Emergency contraception works up to 120 hours after unprotected sex, that's five days, but the sooner you take it the better it works. I don't know if the two pills you took would be enough; it depends on the kind of pill. Check with your doctor or your pharmacist.

When your on the birth control pill your supposed to wait 3-4 weeks before the pill can take effect. And never take 2 pills at the same time. Please read the directions on the packaging that the pills came in.

It's certainly possible. You're supposed to wait, I believe, a couple of weeks before having unprotected sex when starting your first package of pills. Yes, you could definitely be pregnant. You'll just have to wait and see whether or not you miss your next period. If you miss it, you should take a pregnancy test.

ok one you are not going to know if you are pregnant till you miss your period.. two.. there is no way of knowing if you are pregnant the next day.. three you shouldn't take two pills in one day unless you missed a pill.. four... it is called a condom and should be used whether you are on birth control pills or not.

yeah you can still be pregnant when you start a birth control any kind you have to wait at least a few days before sex

You should never take two birth control pills, youch. And you might be pregnant, the pill doesn't protect you completely.

Well, birth control is not full-proof and I would not recommend taking two pills at once unless you want to mess up your reproductive organs permanently.
