Need birthday gift ideas for my 11 year old cousin who likes anime. Is there anything in the Solty Rei series that would make it inappropriate for kids? Specifically nudity or excessive violence. Language is not really an issue. Thanks.

Er... There's a nude Solty at the ending scene of each regular episode.

Also the whole show seems to be focused around pretty girls (bishoujo), and the makers are not shy about exposing their beauty, though they are usually fully clothed.

As for excessive violence. A trance Solty once disabled a cyborg so brutally that she scared her new friend, who is an elementary school girl.

SoltyRei isn't as violent as Armitage III, but it's quite violent. Though most of the regular action scenes are quite standard action scenes.

It's a teenage action series, if your cousin are used to stuff like R.O.D. the TV, most of the scenes in Solty Rei are pretty much regular.

The "Waterside Panic" episode of Solty Rei is kind of cute, it's filled with lots of girls in swimsuits plus a three way competition.

If you want a lower amount of violence, I suggest Nuku-Nuku, though there's still that nudity factor.

If you want even less violence and nudity, plus more comedy, "My life as a teenage robot" is a good alternative.

Jenny and Solty shared a similiarity, they got a very obsessed fanboy who admired their robot body, both exterior and interior.

Yes. As far as I know, there's no nudity and excessive violence in Soltyrei.
