I am going to take my friends to see Dreamgirls at the movie theater. Their ages range from 11 to 13 and I was wondering if you think the movie would be appropriate for that age group. Please include details about why or why not.

Well, the movie is rated PG-13 for language, some sexuality (but no nudity) and drug content, but I don't think there would be a problem with you and your friends going to see the movie. Nowadays, I'm pretty sure that kind of thing isn't something that most 11 - 13 year olds haven't already seen before on regular primetime TV.
Besides that, it's a really good movie with great acting and lots of great singing. I think you guys would enjoy it.
