No! Arbitrarily raising the minimum wage does not provide any value to a company. What it does is forces a company to discriminate against minimum wage workers. If you had a company, and you had new employees that were still learning the job, but providing you with say $6 an hour productivity, why would you keep them on for $8 and hour, or hire any new people without experience and the productivity level of $8 per hour? You wouldn't, it would be suicide for the company. It's a dream world if you think you could makes price increases stick with competition out there. Government mandates only screws things up.

No, Minimum wage was never meant to support a family and those you use it do so wouldn't be able to to keep a higher paying job regardless. McDonalds pays higher than min wage. If you want to be paid more, you work harder on your skills and get that better job. The world needs ditch diggers too so not everyone can have the best job, high paying job out there.

No. Because I don't think we should mess with the economy. Plus, I'm in college now so it can only hurt me, since I don't plan on working for minimum wage.

Yes, in a few years when inflation rises again. Except it would be for everyone, not just those over 20. That's age discrimination too.

the minimum wage is there so you get your backbone up and your posterior moving to a better education so as to get a better pay.
we live in a production based world - you don't produce you don't earn simple and real.
being poor is a choice in US it is not a birthright any more.
