straight up me and a chick...a friend... had a dilema and wanted to know if saying hi and then saying hi back is a conversation...i mean cuz think about it. a stranger walks by and says hi they might know you but you dont know them..or maybe they dont know you....but you try to be nice so you say hi back. is that a conversation?

It starts a conversation but, saying hi alone is not a conversation. Saying hi is greeting someone it is not a conversation.

Its a greeting not a conversation.A conversation consists of people talking about anyting and contains way more that just 1 word

Saying hi is the start of a convo,If the persone replies hi then you should ask something else choose things that are current,music,sports,something that is of interest to you.
