We were not in Iraq when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. I said it then and I'll say it now: It was an isolated incident, one that can be safeguarded against by arming pilots and keeping the cockpit door locked. Have you ever tried to fix a complicated piece of machinery or electronic equipment? Well, I have. Needless to say, I broke that item beyond all repair. This is how I see Bush and Cheney. Diddling with things they're only going to screw up worse. But the really heinous part of it is, they used our fear, the same fear you display in asking this question, to come into power. This is something the Nazi party utilized and it gained them the control of Germany. The atrocities that came out of that are historic record. Certainly, if you lived in Iraq and saw some of the atrocities happening now, you could easily draw a parallel. I understand what you're asking here is will we make a bad situation worse by pulling out. I don't know. Maybe the area will stabilize on its own. Maybe there will be carnage on the scale of the atrocities of WWII. In that case, there should be a trial for the war criminals. Bush and Cheney.

bush and his cronies have again and again not focused on the real threats and instead used fear tactics. we know that it was bin laden who carried out 9/11. well bin laden isn't in iraq.. saddam didn't have anything to do with 9/11 and that is a drop-dead FACT found by our intelligence experts. is it just coincidence that iraq is one of the best places to get oil on this earth, and cheney and bush used to work for oil companies? hmmmmmmmmm

these threats are more or less b.s. the thing is, we keep killing so many people over there in iraq, WE CAN'T KILL THEM ALL!!!!! for god's sake, don't they understand that these terrorists in iraq come from the civilian population?? iraq will never run out of civilians, as long as they keep having babies, and those babies will grow to hate us for what we're doing now, making terrorism even worse.

i even heard one major military leader say we should come up with a jobs plan to give the iraqis jobs so they wouldn't have angry young males with time on their hands. can you believe that? invade a country and kill them off just to give them jobs? this is your tax dollars at work, folks.

I would suspect "future terrorists" as you call them would plan to come into our country and try to commit further acts of violence whether or not we're in Iraq. Maybe even BECAUSE of our presence there, who knows for sure? There is no failsafe plan to stop terrorist acts, and no reliable formula with which to predict the next incident of terrorism. Ashore or abroad, they will come for us if it looks like there's an opportunity.

yes.. you can't pull out and show weakness like that.. I think that we will see... whom ever sits in the chair next election the american are going to hate just as much because he will have to sometime in his reign have to do the same thing bush has done.. people piss off when they don't know all the rules and regs and ammendments but make decissions.. because if they looked closer they would know that bush gets his advice else where.. especial when it comes to the military they sit him down tell him the play outs on what would be if he did this or that and he choses from there.. they are going to see our pull out as weakness and go from there.. its about to get worse just wait
