If you were going to take a lover, would you prefer someone who was single or also married? In your own city, or somewhere else? Your own age or a different age?

I had a lover at one time. He was single, lived not too far from me, and he was 8 years younger than me. I got divorced and he wanted to marry me but I couldn't because he had too many problems. He died in 2002 and I still miss him.

Tho while I was married, I would never have taken a lover, I'm going to try to think like a cheater here, just for the heck of it.
Definitely a married man, because I would want to be discrete and I would want him to have as much to lose as I would. He would be more likely not to fall in love and I wouldn't want a man who might ask me to leave my husband.
Definitely in another city as it wouldn't be so likely to run into him, be seen together or to have my husband find out. I just think this would be smarter.
Age wouldn't make much difference really but why not choose a younger man while I'm just speculating here? They seem to have more energy than the men my age and I would assume the whole idea would be to have fun.
Now you have me thinking. Wonder if cheaters could use a manual, a guidebook of some kind? "The Cheater's Bible". LOL - would probably make a fortune.

Married for 10 years and always faithful. If I wanted my marriage to end with drama I would find a single man who lives close to me. Imagine the possible soap opera type scenes! Especially if he were quite younger than I. If I found myself searching for attention... Then I would take a lover who lives at a comfortable distance and who is married. There's a likelihood of discreteness. Age wouldn't matter. Finding someone who will fill my loneliness would take precedence over age.

I had one years ago and he was a few years older. We had dated in our teens and I feel that my husband pushed me to him because he is an asshole. I moved and he moved and never seen each other again. We were in love, but I couldn't leave the family that I have.

I'm not married.but if i was in such situation,i would prefer for him to live in a different town.for him to be my same age,or a couple years older.i mean,why have an affair with your neighbor.it be less trouble if he is far.

I would never do this to my marriage or husband. I would never take a lover it is not worth it trust me...
