well, as a speech and debate student, i think that the country will break out in chaos. Why you ask..well, i mean think about it. When the US is in Iraq, they are in line somewhat and aren' t overacting or getting out of line. The only thing that has been added to their lives are US troops and no leader. A democracy which we are trying to spread requires political trust and co-operation between those running and those in the country. If the shiites and sunnis can't get along, they will have an open shot at each other since there is no one to protect them. On top of that, there will be no one to run the country which makes this all worse. So, the country will break out in chaos and people will die even more.

If we left right now the terrorist's would attack Iraqi citizens, and the United States. And if the government lets people know when the troops are coming home, then the terrorists will just wait for us to leave, and then start attacking. We can't know when the troops are coming home or when the war might end. If we did, then it would only cause more trouble.

Iran and Saudi Arabia will fight a war with the Iraqi's in the middle. the Iraqi's will blame us the rest of their (short) lives because we promised to help them and then bowed out. the Sunni's and Shia's will slaughter each other. Turkey will attack the Kurds in the north, and probably slaughter them as well.
it will a blood bath the likes of which hasn't been seen since the 40's.
all that blood will be on the heads of all these cry babies who are insisting on meddling in the inner workings of war strategy. the world will blame us even worse than they do now, and they will have good reason. the rest of our Allies will never trust us to keep our word again. the terrorists will feel vindicated, that they brought us to our knees, and will begin attacking us even more.
i wonder, when they're carrying out attacks on our own soil, how quick will these same idiots be to blame George Bush?
those who do not learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

Well, it can only get better from what it is now. Why did the American government have to get in there to begin with? In the eighties, the government supported Hussein's rise to power but sold arms to Iran.
They backed Iraq in the Iraqi-Iranian war. Then the Bush regime forced an unnecessary war in order to gain access to oil. He imposed the Oil for Food program which resulted in massive starvation, poverty and malnutrition. Clinton's administration left them alone, mostly. Then the second Bush regime came into power, to protect his big old Daddy's legacy, the American oil industry and to launch the 'Global War on Terror'.

Regardless of what the left wing press is telling you, (i know from personal experience, i just left there), the innocents there desperately want us to stay. The only people who want us to leave are the thugs that run the streets with weapons and bombs and the Sunni's who want to enslave the Shi'ites again.

Whatever happens, don't blame me, I voted for Gore. Of course, the neocons are gearing up to place blame every where but on their own shoulders where it belongs. Typical of them though, they listen to everything Bush, Limbough, Coulter and O'Lielly tell them.

Depends on when you are talking about leaving. If you mean now, total blood bath. If you mean after we get it stabalized, the best that they have lived in years!
