As another question that I don't feel like losing points for, what are some good fingerboard products and where can I find them for cheap?

Elixir strings should actually be less abrasive.

But the least abrasive would be flatwound strings (like on a double bass). But will drastically muddy up the sound.

The Elixirs will also be the most resistant to the oils.

I'm jealous, I want a fretless. I'm thinking about converting one of my old basses.

Your fretless fingerboard will be subject to scarring no matter what strings you use. Use a good fretboard oil every week or two to keep it in good shape.
