when Saddam was killing all the Kurds the Americans were calling for someone to go in there and help them and when Saddam refused to cooperate with the UN inspectors everybody said he's hiding something....I think the whole problem is that Americans have short memories and most of them have no idea how war works!

Nobody knows what or why. That is the where the real problem is. If the people had been told the real reasons, still vague to me, but whatever, its better than a war based on a lie. The Pres was lied to, the Congress and Senate were lied to, the train of lies that came from the Intelligence community did not help anybody.
Now the $ comes in. No we cannot make a Democracy, that is stupid. If the people want a democracy they would have acted themselves. Now we are in a war an unclear war with no clear plans for anything.
500,000 more troops will not stop Islam, nor will 3billion more $, but we will send drugs, guns and money until we either get our teeth kicked in or just get fed up with all the killing.
There is no bigger picture, this is as big as it gets, we either take sides with Sunni and then fight the Shi'a of Iran, or we side with the Shi'a and then have to fight whoever is left standing. It is a no win scenario. Futility of war shines on.

Seems you already know the truth. fact is he did use WMD against his own people, who knows what he did with any other WMDs. It does not matter, the small fact the he murdered millions of people does not seem a bad enough thing for the peace loving folks who also chime in. If he did or didn't fund Al-Kaida, he did allow training in his country. That would seem at least he supported it. These are truly the facts. This has nothing to do with Bush or his daddy or any other bullsh$t. The people of a small country were being victimized and the US stepped in like so many other times.

Number one, why would he send his WMD to Syria and not use it to protect himself? Do you have any proof AT ALL that he sent WMD to Syria?
Secondly, there is not, and never has been, any proof that Saddam funded Osama.
To see my " bigger picture" you would have to live in the real world that is based on facts and not in the brainwashed world that is based on conjecture. Sorry, but if you can't accept the facts there is no help for you.

The problem is Iraq never attacked us, and Bush did not invade Iraq for the noble reasons you mentioned, those were just excuses and excuses are LIES! Although it's complicated, I'll try to put it in simple terms: We are there to avenge his dad & continue his father's war over oil. The rest is just bs.

The far left will tell you that's what they do ... hate Bush and deny facts data and mostly reality! i.e. Howard Dean and John Kerry no solutions only vitriol and insults and they automatically assume they can change peoples minds to the liberal mindset by insulting them!
