What test do I have to tae to get special education credential in CA?

what tests are required for mild/moderate credential K-12 (primarily elementary education). Also, how many months of student teaching?

If you do not have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, you'll have to prove subject matter competency by taking a test called the CSET. You may also be required to take the RICA. (a reading test) I believe that student teaching is 20 weeks for all grade levels, but, I'm not positive. Double check this information with the institution you are interested in attending.
