my best friend in the whole world,was soposed to get married,last saturday.before the wedding,he came knocking at my door,saying that he loves me,and had two plain tickets,on our name,so we could relocate.i told him to go on with his wedding.but,a couple of days later,i found out,he didnt get maried.and has been at his apartment.wont answer the door,he just says he wants to see me.we had a crush,in the past.but,we never,did anything about it.i was happy,when he told me he was getting married.now,i dont know what to do.he is my best friend.

I can't help but wonder if he felt marrying his fiancee was a mistake and used you as the excuse not to. If he really had been in love with you, I find it unlikely he would have gone as far as planning a wedding with his fiancee.
He might be feeling confused about everything and needing a best friend to talk to...
Although... what was it like when he told you he was getting married? What kinds of vibes did you get from him? A true intent to get married or an attempt to... well, make you jealous or show off?
It just seems a bit too complicated to go to the point of scheduling a wedding, sending out invitations, making all of the preparations, just to get the attraction of another woman. If he didn't have any trouble knocking on your door with two plane tickets, then he certainly has the courage to approach you without planning a wedding to get your attention.
Has he been the kind of person who fears marriage or big commitments?
You will know the answers to these questions better than I.
Someone was saying a big man backs out of a marriage? WRONG. A big man backs out before it gets that far in the first place and destroys the poor girl's heart. (I mean this about someone who breaks a girl's heart, not necessarily about the original poster's friend.)

This is so sad. Sounds to me like this guy really thought that the crush you said you guys had, was indeed more than that. He did not get married? He showed up at your door with plane tickets ? Girlfriend this is someone that need some talking to. Have a heartfelt conversation with him, don;t leave him hanging. It is not good that he is in his apartment and does not answer the door, is he Ok? I would go find out like today.
Do you have feelings for him ?
Be careful how you talk to him though, if you do not want to be with him, do not mislead him. Don't go alone to speak to him.
Listen to him with an open heart, and let him know how you feel.

If this is really how he feels and it is you that is stopping him from getting married (because he wants you)
Why didn't he tell you before? why did he date someone other than you? Did you turn him down?
Regardless go for it !!! I mean if he does love the other woman and you did nothing to break them up then she is really lucky, it would be horrible to be married to a man who wanted someone else

That's a toughy but I'll try...
Hmm, let's see. Well think about your future, does it involve him? Could you see yourself with a guy like him? Would you ever consider marrying him? Do you like spending time with him? Would he be a good father? Is he your dream guy? Is he a good person?
You just have to ask yourself all the main questions that would make a difference in your future. I guess you'll just have to think about all the possibilities and think about your future and what role he plays.

Boy, this is a tough one! The one thing that sticks out is the best marriages are between best friends. If he's your best friend, you must care about him a lot. And it's clear he does about you. Sounds like you two need to talk, and go from there.

Your friend believes you are the one for him. You have things in common, you listen to one another and understand one another. you are comfortable being yourselves when you are together. it seems to me that maybe he sees what you fail to see. take a leap of faith woman-if we fail miserably with jerks we didn't know. why not try it with someone who has already given up everything for you. he made a sacrifice for you, he said screw everything, the wedding, my fiance, the plans i had! wow, he loves you. don't you want that love? because i wish i could meet a man that would do something so romantic and unselfish like that. Takes a big man to back out of a marriage, he could have married her, put her through a divorce too, when he knew all along she was for him......nope you have one heck of a good guy there!

if you clearly have no intentions on a serious relationship then you must get that through to him. it takes two to make a relationship work. tell him he would be losing far greater than he would if he just remains friends with you.
