My father taught me this from when he was in the military. Brush vigorously with a horse hair bush. Take a soft cloth, and rub--in tiny circles--shoe polish (the color of your shoes), and when the polish has covered your shoes well, take the horse hair brush, and polish the shoes again until they shine. Then, take a soft cloth and rub them vigorously, all over, again. There you go! You'll have the best shiny shoes in about 15 minutes.
