explain urself clear! if u want script programming (writing batch files) in OS shell, u can use help of OS, in windows XP u can go start->help and search for script, by notepad u can write ur scripts. to run ur script u must run it on command prompt.
note that extension of ur script file must be .bat i.e. myscript.bat

Hi Sorry but no. Notepad is a simple text editing program. To run a command you still have to press "Start> Run> " and enter a command, or "Start> All programs> Accessories> Command prompt>" and enter a command.
