E. Multicellular.

All animals (including sponges) have four characteristics in common:
1. Heterotrophic (capture their own food, don't make it)
2. Eukaryotic (Cells have a nucleus)
3. Lack Cellular Walls
4. Multicellular

My guess is c or e. but i'd go c because they all start out as unicellular and grow. but then again all adult sponges are multicellular

i know that there are freshwater sponges and the can reproduce asexually or sexually. and nematocysts i think means something wwith worms but im not to sure on that either.

*Something reallly cool is that sponges are the first unit of animal life ever.
